Miracle Within

Yesterday we got a sneak peak at Baby. He was active for the entire ultrasound and gave us some great expressions!

DIY Project

With only about 10 weeks to go before Baby arrives, we decided it's time to start getting the house ready. First on the list of things to do was get Ellabeth's big girl room ready.

She looks very happy about getting a new room,

and she helped put up the tape.

After a coat of pink paint, I got ready to put the finishing touches on the wall.

It may not compare to what an artist would have been able to do, but it was cheap, fun, and easy.

So far, Ellabeth likes her new room but doesn't understand why the flowers don't smell good. Once she transitions from the crib to her toddler bed, we'll start working on the nursery.

Miss Independence

Ellabeth has started refusing all help with eating, so most meals lead to bath time.

Tinkle Time

Ellabeth got a potty chair last week, and so far she enjoys sitting on it.  She occasionally actually goes in the potty chair, 

but we obviously have a long way to go before she is ready to use it on her own!

Life is One Big Holiday

Welcome to Oklahoma

Yesterday we experienced our first true OK storm.  We spent a big part of the afternoon in a dark closet with the weather radio.  At one point, we heard very loud rumbling outside and felt the house shake.

Ellabeth decided she needed to check out what was going on during a break between storms.

Fortunately, all we have is a little fence and grill damage, but our tornado closet will be better prepared in case this happens again!

Ellabeth (and mommy) love the beautiful flowers that Donnie brought home! 

What a Difference

48 hours and 800 miles later, Ellabeth got to play outside in weather more to her liking!

A Trip of Firsts

Ellabeth had a busy week in IN.  Early in the trip, she learned the fine art of dipping cookies in milk.

Mmmm, Mmmm Good!

This was her look of apprehension when she walked into Uncle Brad's and Aunt Emily's house and heard Dungy Pup barking.

As she spent more time around Dungy, she got more brave.  She fed him several puppy treats,

and by the end of the night, she even attempted to pet him!

Her next first of the week came when we went out in the snow to play.  She started out not happy with all the clothes or the snow.

She watched from the safety of the garage while everybody else went sledding.

She finally ventured out and took a ride being pulled around on the sled.

The biggest first of the week came when Will and Ellabeth were both calmly sitting together for more than 3 seconds!

Tennis Time

Ellabeth loves playing tennis with Donnie on the Wii!

She takes a very competitive stance,

and each match is followed by a victory celebration.

Road Warriors

This past week Ellabeth and I got to go on a road trip with Donnie. Within minutes, Ellabeth made herself right at home in the hotel room!

She loved to look out the window at all the buildings and lights.

We walked up the steepest street in San Francisco,

and watched trolley cars go by.

After a late game, we headed to Los Angeles.

This was the only glimpse of the California sun that we got.

Even though it was a little wet and chilly, Donnie took Ellabeth down to see the water.
