Getting Closer

If Baby arrives when expected, we only have 4 weeks until he is here! Ellabeth still loves to give him kisses, but we are not sure she'll be so happy when he invades her world.

Big Jumper

Ellabeth's new favorite skill is jumping.  She doesn't get a lot of air, but her preparation and facial expressions are very convincing.

Easter's On Its Way

The Easter Bunny is using our backyard to get ready for his big day!

Back in Boston

Ellabeth and I got to meet Donnie on a road trip and spend the weekend in Boston. We had a great time catching up with friends and checking out where we used to live. We wanted Ellabeth to see where Donnie used to work, but he was locked out of the building.

This was her interest level in seeing any of the sites in Wellesley.

We found some irony in the name of this shop in Wellesley.

Ellabeth enjoyed getting some energy out at our old neighborhood playground.

I think they were contemplating which little kids on the playground Ellabeth would be friends with if we still lived in our Natick apartment.

What's Going On?

Whenever Donnie gets home from a road trip or home game, we go in and check on Ellabeth so that he can see her.  Two nights ago, we walked in and found her sleeping on the floor.  Last night, we decided just to check on her and found a huge pile of books in her bed with her sleeping on the floor.  She took a short nap this morning.  When I went in to get her up, I found this.  She is always sleeping in the same corner of her room and her bed is empty.  We have no idea what's going through her head!

DIY #2

The blue paint in the nursery went on much easier than the pink in Ellabeth's room, but the difficulty of the wall art more than made up for it!

I'm still looking for a comfy rocker for this corner, and then the room will be complete.

Ellabeth loves looking at all the animals, so hopefully the little guy does too!

More Eating Mess

A lot of posts right now are coming from the high chair, but Ellabeth is in a stage where eating makes for great photos.  She has a drinkable yogurt every morning for breakfast.  She was hungry tonight before bed, so I gave her a "big person" yogurt and spoon to use to eat it.  I guess the spoon was not needed!

Little Artist

Ellabeth hasn't been feeling great the last couple of days, but tonight she enjoyed playing with some sidewalk chalk.  Like a true girl, she picked the piece of chalk that best matched her hair bow!

Honeymoon is Over

After almost 2 weeks of sleeping in her toddler bed, Ellabeth has discovered that nothing is keeping her from getting out of bed.  When I put her down for her nap, it was just her and her blankets in the bed.  I guess she got thirsty and needed to read a story.  At least she decided to climb back in bed and go to sleep!

Bubble Bonanza

A couple nights ago, Ellabeth took her first bubble bath.  At first, she wasn't so sure about all the suds, but she started having fun smearing bubbles all over Donnie's face.

Fashion Statement

When I left to run errands, Ellabeth was wearing her pajamas.  When I got home, this is what she had on.

Nothing says "Daddy Style" like a onesie with socks and tennis shoes!

How Time Flies! 

Yesterday Ellabeth hit the 18 month mark, and we had fun celebrating her 1/2 year birthday!  If you look closely, you can see the 1/2 in the breakfast pancakes.

We spent the evening at Sesame Street Live.  Ellabeth enjoyed watching the show and clapping along to all the songs.

The Adventure Continues

Ellabeth enjoyed practicing her independent eating and dipping skills with her first trial of chips and cheese.  We're not sure, but we think that some actually made it to her mouth!

Sleeping Beauty

So far, Ellabeth's transition from crib to toddler bed has been surprisingly easy. She knows how to get out of the bed, but she she stays in it until somebody comes in to get her.

I Did It!

This weekend I went to Dallas with Donnie and left Ellabeth overnight for the first time.  Donnie and I didn't get any pictures together, but I did get a few of Dealey Plaza and the 6th Floor Museum.
